Focus on movement while never losing sight of fun! With dance classes for various ages and skill levels, we provide an encouraging environment that promotes coordination and creativity. You'll become stronger and more confident as you express yourself through dance.

DANCE & TUMBLING

Explore creativity through movement.

At the Y, you'll learn more than just choreography. Our goal is to create a caring atmosphere that inspires imagination and encourages a love of dance. By teaching dance principles and proper technique, we nurture self-expression, body awareness, and musicality, as well as an appreciation for the arts.

Dancing also helps develop coordination between the mind and body. Through dance, you'll experience a multitude of benefits as your skills and confidence grow:

  • Improved strength, posture, coordination, flexibility, and balance
  • Greater awareness of rhythms and music
  • Better concentration skills and memory
  • Enhanced fine and gross motor skills

MOVE TO THE MUSIC

Whether it’s tap, ballet, jazz, or hip-hop, our youth dance classes are designed to establish a strong foundation. Each child has fun showcasing their personality while working on combinations that focus on fundamentals.

POMS

Everyone sparkles in a non-competitive setting. Dancers work on strong, sharp arm movements as they express themselves through poms choreography.

SOCIAL DANCE

Get ready to hit the dance floor! Boost your self-confidence as you learn social ballroom basics for your next special event or night out.

TUMBLING

Kids stretch and grow as they gain fundamental gymnastics skills. We’ll combine dance, movement, and creativity for a fun-filled time.

Students should wear clothing that allows them to move comfortably. Dance apparel such as leotards, skirts or tutus, and tights, is optional. We recommend that long hair is secured off the neck and away from the face.

Dance shoes are not required for all classes, but street shoes should not be worn.

  • Ballet shoes are required for Pre-Ballet/Jazz.
  • Jazz shoes are required for Ballet/Jazz Combo.
  • Tennis shoes are required for Hip-Hop Moves.
  • Tap shoes are required for Beginner Tap.
